Aistetic selected amongst top 0.5% for Techstars Future of Commerce Accelerator powered by Ebay

Aistetic, a groundbreaking Oxford University AI spinout, has proudly announced its participation in the Techstars Future of Ecommerce Accelerator powered by eBay, a highly competitive program designed to help shape ecommerce. This selection marks a significant milestone for Aistetic, as only 0.5% of the applicants made it into this prestigious cohort.

The Techstars Future of Ecommerce Accelerator, in collaboration with eBay, is a new initiative that brings together the global e-commerce giant's commitment to fostering innovation and creating more equitable, attainable, and sustainable buying and selling experiences with Techstars' proven accelerator model that has nurtured thousands of successful companies and made it one of the largest pre-seed investors in the world. Techstars has funded 11 unicorns to date, including Twilio, and Uber.

eBay's Global VP of Corporate Strategy and Investments, Beatriz Reyero, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating, "eBay's purpose is to connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all. We're excited to collaborate with Techstars to support and empower innovative startups that are leveraging groundbreaking technologies to redefine the ecommerce landscape."

Aistetic is poised to revolutionise the e-commerce fashion industry with its innovative AI-solution that provides accurate 3D body avatars, remote measurement and personalised sizing recommendations, all from a mobile device wherever you are in the world. This addresses the long-standing issue of accurate measurement, fit and sizing when shopping online. This breakthrough technology integrates seamlessly into existing brands and retailers' websites and apps, and is now also available as a Shopify app, enabling ecommerce brands to integrate in less than 60 seconds without any coding required. With Aistetic's software, individuals can shop with confidence using any mobile phone, eliminating the uncertainty associated with buying clothing and improving the overall online shopping experience.

Working with Savile Row tailors in London and luxury brands known for their exacting measurements, Aistetic is currently rolling out its first solution. This enables tailors to make made-to-measure garments according to each customer’s body dimensions without requiring physical measurements, removing the need to visit a store, reducing the lead time, cost and waste associated with alterations. Computer vision and machine learning is now capable of delivering 98% body measurement accuracy1 from a phone.

Aistetic's inclusion in this accelerator program exemplifies its dedication to creating innovative solutions that improve the way people engage with e-commerce platforms. "We are honoured and excited to be selected for the Techstars Future of Ecommerce Accelerator powered by eBay," said Duncan McKay, Founder at Aistetic. "Our mission is to make 3D body avatars and remote measurement accessible to everyone, and this collaboration with eBay and Techstars will provide us with the expertise, resources, and network we need to help us on the journey to achieving that goal. We look forward to the opportunity to work with industry leaders and to make online clothes shopping more personalised, more accessible and more user-friendly for all."
