Leeds City Council selects MHR to deliver unrivalled HR and payroll efficiencies

MHR, the HR, payroll and finance expert, today announces that it has been selected by Leeds City Council, the second largest metropolitan district in England, as its new strategic partner for HR and payroll applications.

After a very detailed market analysis and a formal tender process, Leeds Council chose MHR’s iTrent solution as the best fit for its strategic vision, providing best in breed HR and Payroll processes ‘out of the box’, with little work required by the client.

Previously, Leeds City Council had been using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution that did not fulfil the needs of its employees. However, the Council’s 14,000 employees deliver over 500 different services across the city and provides payroll services for a total of 37,000 people. As such it has a huge variety of HR and Payroll requirements with different pensions, pay cycles and contracts to account for, and the Council needed a true digital transformation project that would ensure automation for several lengthy manual processes. 

Given its ability to support all its employee contracts and complex pension systems on one platform, iTrent was a great fit for the Council’s needs and the solution has been rapidly deployed to all employees in a cost-effective, seamless manner. 

In addition to the core HR and payroll modules, the Council also selected additional tools including onboarding, the pension data service, MCR, e-signatures, interactive payslips and employee self-service, PowerBI and analytics. This will help boost employee engagement and experience.
